How to dumb down your children

Born again?

By my reading of the news, educational statistics, etc.; a large percentage of American's reasoning faculties seem still-born...

They're searching for an answer they won't find.

It astounds me that a person who touts himself as a thinker is so blind to the truth and reality around him.
Reign, you seem like a pretty intelligent guy. I would guess that your hostility towards Christians comes from some hurtful past incident with someone calling themselves a Christian.
I would invite you to seek God for yourself. I assure you that you will find Him *if* you seek Him. He is not hidden from view. As someone who has experience with aerospace and higher mathematical thinking, you certainly should be able to understand that our universe was designed and created -- not random and accidental.
I challenge you to read Lee Strobel's book (and that of C.S. Lewis) on how they went from evolutionary atheists to Bible-believing Christians. Both are intellectual reads, but I feel certain you can handle the gravity of their reasonings.
Best wishes to you.

Science does not claim to have all of the answers. They claim to make theories that are in agreement with observation. This is the best method yet humankind has developed in searching out truth.

Going back to the writings of bronze-age tribesmen who convinced themselves they had revealed truth does NOT have a very good track record. The bible and other "holy" writing are rife with demonstrable errors.

Many brilliant men of history also believed in god... does that mean their belief was "true" -- of course not. Many of the best ancient thinkers believed in Zeus, Jupiter or Thor -- yet they have all been tossed onto the dung heap.
